What is a gig profit tracker?+
A gig profit tracker records what each gig paid and what it cost you, such as travel, mileage, accommodation and kit, so you can see your real take-home rather than the headline fee. StagePay does this alongside your gig invoices, so there is no separate spreadsheet to keep up to date.
Is StagePay’s gig profit tracking free?+
Yes. Tracking gigs, recording expenses and seeing your net profit after travel and expenses are included in the Free plan. Pro adds deeper profitability views, such as profit by venue and gig type, profit per stage minute, forecasting and tax exports.
Can I track mileage and travel costs for each gig?+
Yes. You can record mileage, fares, parking and accommodation against a gig, and StagePay takes them off that gig’s income. Pro can export a mileage log as a CSV file.
Who is the gig profit tracker for?+
It is built for working performers: comedians, musicians, bands, DJs and actors who are paid per gig and pay their own way to get there. Labels adapt to your role, for example spots for comedians and bookings for musicians.
Does it replace my accountant?+
No. StagePay keeps your gig income and expenses organised and shows your profit, which makes tax time easier. Your accountant or tax adviser should still check what you can claim.
